This map covers the area from just North of Auckland City all the way to Cape Reinga at the top of New Zealand. It includes the city of Whangarei, an inset of the Bay of Islands and towns Paihia, Russel and Waitangi, with the National Maori Marae where New Zealand’s founding document the Treaty of Waitangi between the British Crown and Maori chiefs was signed in 1841.

Things to do in this area include deep sea fishing from the Bay of Islands, trips to the Hole in the Rock, swimming with dolphins, while a trip to Cape Reinga along the wild 90 mile Beach is a wonderful day trip.

The Western side of Northland includes the Kauri Coast featuring the remnants of magnificent Kauri forests with walking tracks to some of the largest specimen trees.
